Build a Major Triad

Chords are built from scales. To build a Cmajor chord use every other note from the C to the G of the Cmajor scale. These three notes are called the root, the 3d, and the 5th of the chord. This type of chord is a triad, which means it contains 3 notes stacked in thirds.
